The following Passover alert is from the Orthodx Union on September 3, 2003.
Superior TX-10 Iodized Salt (Industrial Item), US Salt LLC, Watkins Glen, NY mistakenly bears an OUP and is not certified as Kosher for Passover. It is certified for year round use only. Corrective action is being taken.
THE ALERTS THAT ARE BELOW THIS ARE FROM 2003. SOME OF THESE PRODUCTS MIGHT BE AROUND DUE TO A LONG SHELF LIFE OR THE PROBLEMS INVOLVED ARE STILL RELEVENT.
Product:Oeno Sorbic Acid and Potasium Sorbate (industrial product), Ueno Fine Chemicals.
Issue: Yhe Orthodox Union has withdrawn Passover certification from these products. Even products bearing the OUP should not be used for
Passover. These products remain certified for year-round use.
N&A Cinnamon Danish Flavor from Illes Seasonings and Flavors has a Texas-K "P" symbol. This product is Kosher pareve but not for Pesach. This is true for any Illes item that the "p". The labeling is being corrected.
