March 31, 2025 from Rabbi Avi Juravel
"In a recent issue of the Yated, it included a recipe for Grape Sorbet for Pesach. It sounded very yummy, but it could be very TRAIF in some instances. The recipe called for 2 pounds of seedless dark grapes, putting them in a food processor, squeezing out the resulting mush through a strainer, for a result of 2 cups of grape juice. Add honey and lemon juice.
"When the NON Jewish cleaning help is around and touches the grape juice, it becomes TRAIF!!!
"After it is frozen, there are some major Poskim that permit it. Ask your local Posek for guidance.
"Again, if made properly, ENJOY."
