Passover Shopping Information, Reminder & Alert

- April 16, 2024 from the COR Detroit: PACKAGES OF THE FOLLOWING PRODUCTS WITHOUT PESACH MARKING were for a brief time mistakenly placed in the Pesach section at The Grove. Check every label of your purchases for Pesach marking:
- GEFEN CHUNK LIGHT TUNA IN OIL
- GEFEN SOLID WHITE ALBACORE TUNA IN OIL
- GEFEN MUSTARD
- UNGER’S MAYONNAISE
- GEFEN ULTRA DISH SOAP LIQUID [Pesach containers bear OU-P. Non-Pesach containers bear a plain OU and state “Not for Passover use”.]

- Non-Passover and similarly packaged Passover products are mixed together on shelves. A clerk told me that the case they received marked for Passover contained non-Passover items mixed in.
- Kitniot products are placed on shelves next to similar non-kitniot products. The font on the hecksher (kosher symbol) that says kitniot is often so small that it is hard to read. Sometimes the kitniot notice is only in Hebrew.
