The Lithuanian Parliament has overwhelmingly passed a bill legalizing religious slaughter without stunning for kosher and halal meat. They are hoping to stimulate export of meat to Israel and the Middle East and develop new export markets to compensate for the Russian ban on the import of Lithuanian meat to Russia.
