January 23, 2024: From the Scroll-K:
Some ‘Freshness Guaranteed’ (a Wal-Mart brand) Coconut Creme Pie sold at Wal-Mart stores have been labeled with the Scroll K symbol, erroneously omitting the DAIRY designation. These products are certified Scroll K – DAIRY. Corrective action has been taken.

Papouis Halloumi bears an symbol of the EU Identification of the manufacturing plant that could be mistaken for a kosher symbol. It is a non-kosher cheese and CY does not mean Chalov Yisroel.

TWIZZLERS GUMMIES: While most Twizzlers candies are Kosher and bear an OU, Twizzlers Gummies candy contains non-Kosher gelatin and therefore bears no OU. (However, Twizzlers Press'd Gummies, sold in Canada, do not contain gelatin and are OU certified when bearing the OU symbol.)

Rizo-López Foods, Inc. (“RLF”) is voluntarily recalling its dairy products listed below because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The recalled products were distributed nationwide by RLF and through distributors. Products also were sold at retail deli counters including, but not limited to, El Super, Cardenas Market, Northgate Gonzalez, Superior Groceries, El Rancho, Vallarta, Food City, La Michoacana, and Numero Uno Markets. The recalled products include cheese, yogurt, and sour cream sold under the brand names Tio Francisco, Don Francisco, Rizo Bros, Rio Grande, Food City, El Huache, La Ordena, San Carlos, Campesino, Santa Maria, Dos Ranchitos, Casa Cardenas, and 365 Whole Foods Market. Representative images of the recalled products and the list of recalled products are on the FDA website listed above.
Consumers should check their refrigerators and freezers for any of the products listed below and dispose of them. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-833-296-2233, which will be monitored 24 hours a day.

Magic Seasonings Blends Gravy & Gumbo Magic bears an unauthorized STAR-K symbol. The product is not kosher. The very limited number of products that reached the marketplace have been recalled.

RICOLA COUGH / THROAT DROPS: Only the following varieties are recommended by the cRc (Chicago Rabbinical Council). They do not require a certification sticker: Original (Natural) Herb, Honey Herb, and Lemon Mint - regular and Sugar Free.
DUNCAN HINES MIXES: The OU has confirmed that all Duncan Hines Cake Mixes and all Duncan Hines Brownie Mixes are always Yoshon.
