KORDAS’ / METROPOLITAN BAKING CO. ENGLISH MUFFINS are produced by a different company and are not certified by the K-COR / Vaad Harabbonim of Greater Detroit. Only Kordas’ / Metropolitan products that bear the K-COR symbol are certified.

July 4, 2024: From the COR Detroit:

KORDAS’ brand BREADS, ROLLS AND BUNS from Metropolitan Baking Co. are K-COR certified and Pas Yisroel (glow-plug method), even if the label does not bear the K-COR symbol, except GREEK STYLE PITA BREAD which is not certified Kosher and should not bear the K-COR symbol.

July 26, 2023 - From the COR Detroit:

KORDAS’ brand BREADS, ROLLS AND BUNS from Metropolitan Baking Co. are K-COR certified and Pas Yisroel (glow-plug method), even if the label does not bear the K-COR symbol, except GREEK STYLE PITA BREAD which is presently not certified Kosher and should have the K-COR symbol on the back covered with a sticker.

GREEK STYLE PITA BREAD from Kordas / Metropolitan Baking Co. that does not bear the K-COR symbol, or that has the symbol covered by a sticker, is not certified by the Council of Orthodox Rabbis / Vaad Harabbonim. Packages that do bear the K-COR are certified (not Pas Yisroel).
