• Wedgewood Angels Salted Caramel Biscuits are now kosher certified Dairy from Best Before (BB) date of Nov 2022, even without the kosher logo. BD logo will be on future packaging.
   
  
• Jungle Crunchalot Fillows are now kosher certified Dairy with or without the BD logo.
   
  
• The following Absolute Organix products are now kosher Parev, with or without the BD logo:
  • Organic Coconut Flour
  • Virgin & Organic Coconut Oil
  
   
  
• Ricoffy 3-in-1 is now kosher certified Dairy with or without the BD logo.
   
  
• Waxies Chubbies Candy-Coated Milk Chocolate Buttons are now kosher Dairy, with a BD logo.
   
  
• Woolworths Ayrshire Chococcino Cafe Latte Flavoured Full Cream Milk Product code: 20088736 is kosher certified Dairy even when not bearing the kosher logo. Logo will be included on future packaging.
• The following Woolworths Sandwich Thins are now certified Parev, with the BD logo:
  • Wholewheat Sandwich Thins

• Pesto Princess “Butter” Chicken Sauce has also been re-certified as kosher Parev, with or without a BD logo, when bearing the production date of 14 June or later.
   
  
• Racefood Farbar Banana & Caramel is now certified Dairy, with or without the BD logo. Certified flavours in the Farbar range include:
  • Apple, Pear & Cinnamon
  • Date & Cranberry
  • Salted Apricot

• Similac Kid HMO Growing Up Milk can now be found bearing an OU-D logo at major pharmacies and supermarkets.
   
  
• Kosher Label Updates and Notifications
• This is a reminder that Wedgewood Dark Chocolate Mint/Cranberry/ Orange Nougat is kosher certified Parev. The internal packets are incorrectly labelled as dairy.

  Due to a manufacturing changes in the factory, this product was re-classified from Dairy to Parev in 2019. All current stock is Parev.

  *Also applies to the Walter's brand

• Health Connection Wholefoods Gluten Free Brown Flour Mix is incorrectly labelled as dairy, this product is kosher certified Parev.
   
  
• Certain products in the Blue Shirt Waffle range bear the incorrect kosher logo.

  The following are the CORRECT classifications:

  • Syrup Waffles are Parev
  • Dessert Waffles are Dairy (plain & choc)
  • Toaster Waffles are Dairy (vanilla & choc) *Due to minimal dairy content, if used, keilim was not affected.
  
   
  
• We have been notified by Kosher Finland that ALL Finn Crisp products are still kosher, however, no longer pas yisrael from production date 7 March 2022.
• Eureka Mills Cheese Sticks bear an unauthorised kosher logo, but this product is not kosher certified. The company has been informed and is taking corrective action.
   
  
• Wonka Bar bears an unauthorised kosher logo, however, this product is not kosher certified. The company has been informed and is taking corrective action.
   
  

For all bakers out there!

In South Africa many variants of commercially available flour have additives which are added to the raw product. These additives may have kosher risks associated with them.

In keeping with the Beth Din policy, all products with kosher sensitive ingredients need to be certified. Our certification guarantees that all ingredients have been checked and approved by the Beth Din. Therefore, you should always buy flour that is kosher certified.

Make sure to check the packaging for the BD logo or our website to know if your product is Kosher Certified.
